Souvenirs

Very pretty butterfly taxidermy bought in a gift shop, CBD, Cairns.
This was originally from Thailand not Australia.
Every piece bought give portion of profits to their wildlife foundation.
The electric blue Ulysses Butterfly is so breathtaking.
Now I need to find a place to display them.
Where should I put?

Real orchid flower pin covered in 18ct gold bought in the Night Market for $50.
There were plenty colours to choose from and they also have them in necklaces.
The one I have here looks so real that I'm afraid I might break it when handling.
So fragile and delicate.

Print of "Girl with a Pearl Earring " on a thick acrylic block was bought
from Auckland, New Zealand last year.
The original painting is one of Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer's masterworks
and as the name implies, uses a pearl earring for a focal point.
Today the painting is kept in the Mauritshuis gallery in the Hague.

A souvenir always brings back memories of a place I visited before.
What's your best find?

Georg Jenson

Love Keyrings

The Danish silversmith Georg Jenson is so popular in Australia.
The keyrings I've got were Valentine's day gift from dining at Nobu.
Very pretty and simple design, just like their other signature pieces.
I heart their tableware and wish one day I could have a collection of their luxury chopsticks.
